Patna, Sept. 7: Students of the architecture branch of National Institute of Technology (NIT) have started a dharna to protest against the Council of Architecture (COA) and the administration of the tech cradle for their alleged lackadaisical attitude towards the registration of the architecture course.

Sources said when the course was started in 1979 it was registered with the COA. But in 2005, the registration expired. Ravi Tiwari, one of the students staging protest for the past one week, said the institute had made no efforts to get the course registered. The authorities of the institute were not available for comments.
