Patna, Sept. 6: Raj Bhavan today accepted the report on the rationalisation of teachers in the universities.
Under the rationalisation process, the number of teachers in different universities and colleges is balanced according to their needs.
Around 1,700 posts of teachers would be abolished under the rationalisation process and 500 new posts would be created in different universities. As a result, around 1,200 posts of teachers would be reduced. The report, prepared by representatives of both the state government and the Raj Bhavan, has also suggested transfer of 1,400 teachers within the universities.
