Patna, May 20: Anand Kumar, the founder of Super 30, who has been accused time and again of not revealing the names of the students of his coaching institute, has finally decided to disclose the aspirants’ names two days before the IIT results are announced this year.
Many have the perception that there is something fishy about Anand’s Super 30 because he never reveals the name of the 30 students who appear for the IIT exam.
Anand always announced the names of the 30 students once the IIT results were declared. This made many allege that he took the credit of his students clearing the IIT, after the results were announced.
However, during a book release of Prabhat Prakashan today, the Super 30 founder happened to be one of guests on the dais along with chief minister Nitish Kumar, The Telegraph asked him about the controversy surrounding him: “Today in front of everyone, I have decided to declare the name of my 30 students two days prior to the IIT results. Those whom I will name are very much part of my Super 30.”
He added: “It will send a message to others who are running coaching institutes like mafias in the city. The day I declare the name of my students, everybody will be forced to believe that I never lied. There are a few who want to spoil my and my coaching institute’s name but I will not allow them to do so.”
Earlier, when The Telegraph had asked him the reason behind concealing the names of his 30 students, Anand had said he did announce the name in 2007 but after the announcement some students were kidnapped and since then he has been announcing the names after the results were declared.
However, when he was asked to name the students today he said: “My students will be kidnapped if I announce their names because there are people who want to prove my credibility wrong”.
Anand, however, vowed to name his students two days prior to the results.
The IIT result is scheduled to be declared on May 25.
