Patna, Oct. 19: Patna Women’s College students today presented subject-oriented case studies as part of the Research Project Presentation under the College with Potential for Excellence scheme of University Grants Commission (UGC).
The presentations that began today will continue till October 22. Students of industrial microbiology, botany, zoology, chemistry and physics made their presentations in groups.
College principal Sister Doris D’Souza said: “UGC aims to develop a scientific temperament among the students from the undergraduate level. Therefore, research-oriented projects are given to them. Patna Women’s College is following the guidelines by initiating research project culture among the students.”
Topics such as “Isolation and optimisation of production parameters for laccase producing bacteria”, “Effects of heat on Vitamin C in different fruits and vegetables”, “Fluoride concentration in drinking water at different areas of Gaya” were some of the topics on which the students made their presentation.
