Promising athlete…

Is 17-year-old squash player Siddharth Kishore. He has taken part in several national, district and state-level tournaments.

First game…

For Siddharth was in 2007. He participated in the district-level Sub-Junior State Squash Championship organised by Bihar State Squash Racket Association. A Class VI student of St Michael’s High School then, he was inspired to learn the game after watching his friends Mayank and Sudhanshu Sinha practice at the Bankipore Club.

Focussed player…

Siddharth participated in five national, six state-level and several district-level tournaments. He won the third prize at the U-15 First Sub-Junior State Squash Championship in January 2008. It was organised at Bankipore Club. Siddharth also secured the 49th rank in the national-level Hamdard Delton Cup in January 2010.

Guiding light…

For Siddharth is coach Anil Lal of Bihar State Squash Racket Association.

Squash champ…

Saurav Ghosal inspired Siddharth to continue with the game. Siddharth met Ghosal, his idol, in August 2008 at the 57th National Squash Championship in Chennai.

Braveheart…

Siddharth plans to become an air force officer and would soon start preparations for the entrance examinations to the Indian Air Force. He wants to become an international squash player too.
