Shan has several medals up his sleeves. The student won a silver medal in the 2nd Open Asian Junior & Senior Karate do Championship, 2013. He has also taken part in national-level tournaments winning gold medals in kata and kumite. Has also participated in state, district, inter school and school-level tourneys.

From 2009. His father Mohammad Hashim Naaz got him admitted to Lee Martial Arts.
