Residents pledge their support to Irom Sharmila Chanu at a signature campaign organised by the Patna chapter of Save Sharmila Solidarity Campaign in the Mauryalok Complex parking lot on Wednesday. The “Iron Lady” from Manipur has been on an indefinite fast seeking repeal of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act for over 10 years. Volunteers, mostly school and college students, put up slogans such as “Save Manipur from being a land of widows” and “Save Democracy Save Sharmila” during the event.
