Patna, Jan. 30: Global Entrepreneurship & Management Academy (Gema) organised an inter-school quiz competition at Patna Museum today.
Six teams with two members each participated in the five-round competition.
Maryam, a student of Gema, delivered the welcome speech and general manager of Gema, Pritam Sen, conducted the quiz.
The questions varied from areas like science, history, countries, currencies, books, authors and entertainment.
Director of Gema, S.A. Haider said: “It’s important to organise events like these. These events help the children in assessing themselves and to know where they stand.”
A. Haque, assistant general manager, Gema, C.S. Mishra, senior faculty, Gema and students from various schools took part in the event.
Children in the hall seemed to egg on the participants from their schools and kept on discussing the answers with those sitting next to them.
It was a good experience for the audience as well as the participants. Parents had accompanied their children to the event.
An elimination round was conducted first, out of which, six teams could make it to the dais. Gaurav Rai Anand and Karamvir Yadav of DAV Danapur Gola Road bagged the first prize.
Kunal Gaurav and Sunny Shubham of Ram Mohan Roy Seminary stood second and Kumari Pratima and Ankita Gupta of International School were placed third in the event.
Children from DAV Public School and St Dominic Savio’s High School put up models showcasing their talents.
