The St Joseph’s School management would lodge complaints against persons who allegedly created a ruckus on the institution premises on Sunday.
Father Varghese, the principal, told The Telegraph: “The employees present at my residence as well as the school told me that an armed man in khaki uniform created trouble. He was identified as the bodyguard of Nathnagar JD(U) MLA Ajay Kumar Mandal. The MLA, too, had threatened the employees.”
Students of the school were forced to go on an early summer vacation from Monday after the authorities of the educational institution closed it down for an indefinite period because of the threats. Father Varghese said two meetings of principals of all missionary schools from Bhagalpur, Banka and Kahalgaon would be held on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
Mandal, however, refuted the allegation. He said: “Earlier, I had visited the school five times for admission of some students belonging to the below poverty line category. On Sunday, when I approached the school authorities to know the status of the admission and raised the issue about overcrowded school buses, they started abusing me.” The MLA added that the school authorities had hatched a conspiracy to tarnish his image.
