Patna district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Agarwal on Thursday convened a high-level meeting to take stock of security arrangements being made at Gandhi Maidan for the upcoming Id.

A number of devotees congregate at Gandhi Maidan to offer special prayers. The ground will be closed from July 5 as Id will be celebrated either on July 6 or 7.

The administration has decided to install doorframe metal detectors at every gate to avoid long queues.

Officials have been asked to depute adequate number of security personnel within the Maidan premises and outside.
