Patna, April 7: Rotary Patna is set to host a mega event of Rotary International District 3250 on April 9 and 10, with an aim to train the future leaders of Bihar and Jharkhand club.
Office-bearers and representatives from 83 clubs in the two states will take part in the event that will be held at Hotel Maurya.
At a news meet today, programme co-ordinator B.C. Srivastava said: “A new team is formed in clubs across the world on July 1. We have organised a mega event on April 9 and 10 to train the office-bearers comprising presidents, secretaries and others. The office-bearers will come to know what targets they have to achieve, how to go about their goals and which to be given more priority. They will also come to know how each and every goal has to be achieved.”
Shashi Bhushan Prasad, the chairman of the conference, said: “The office-bearers will get objectives for a year and would be trained on how to work in a better way. A cultural programme will also be held on April 9, which will showcase not only festivals of Bihar but of other states too. Six dance forms — Manipuri, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kathakali and others will be performed.”
Manoj Kumar, the president of Rotary Patna, said: “Rajya Sabha member N.K. Singh will be the chief guest on April 9, whereas former vice-chancellor of Magadh University Shamshad Hussain will be the guest of honour on April 10.”
Sudhir Kumar Gupta, the chairman of publicity, said: “The event will comprise various programmes and the families of the club members will also take part in the event. Maximum participation will be ensured.”
