Robo Soccer, a manual robotics competition, tested the scientific acumen of 120 students on Sunday.
In the contest, organised by the Extreme Engineers (ExE) club of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna, each team, comprising four students of 1st and 2nd year college, made a wired manual robot that played soccer. The game was based on a one-on-one knockout tournament.
The club used to take the classes on robotics and the event was held to check the students’ maturity.
Technical festivals in different engineering colleges would start with Conceto (the tech fest of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad) scheduled for October 25 to 27. Sunday’s event was important to warm up the NIT, Patna, students for those fests.
The ExE club would hold an event on autonomous robotics after the Diwali vacation.
