Patna, Jan. 18: Rotary Patna Mid Town District-3250 would organise a road show to support a polio awareness campaign initiated by six Rotarians from Kerala.

The road show would begin from New Patna Club at 11.30am. Chiranjeev Khandelwal, the former president of the club, today said the show is a constituent programme of the awareness drive initiated by six Rotarians of Kerala.

“The group of six Rotarians — George Kutty Karinapally, Krishna Murti Dharamrajan, R.S. Rajan, Anil Kumar, Sunil Joseph and Sailesh Gopinath — started a two-month road journey on December 11 last year. The object of their journey is to create mass awareness to keep polio at bay,” he said.

The total road journey covers 18,500km and 170 towns in cities of India and Bhutan. The Rotarians will arrive in Patna on Friday.

“We will organise the road show to extend our support to them. Fifty school students would also take part in the show,” he said.
