Patna, March 12: The Bihar State Electricity Board’s janata darbar sported a different look today. Besides consumers, former employees of the board turned up for resolving their problems.

Former executive engineer Ramjivan Prasad, who retired from Barauni Thermal Power Station, had come to rectify his pension alleging that he was getting Rs 1,160 less.

Swapan Mukherjee, who was a driver with Darbhanga electricity circle, said he was not receiving his pension and alleged that relevant documents had not been transferred from the circle office to the area board office.

Dinanath Prasad, a resident of Kewra village in Punpun, said: “Seven years ago, three farmers from my village had applied for a connection to carry out agricultural activities. I have come here for the fourth time with the same plea.”

Ashutosh Kumar, a resident of Maner, said he should be given exemption from electricity tariff as he was running an oil mill, which falls under industries category.

A.P. Singh, another complainant, came with a plea for restoring connection at his house, which was snapped owing to non-payment of dues.

Rana Awadhesh (member, administration), board secretary K.K. Verma and Patna Electric Supply Undertaking general manager SKP Singh assured that all grievances would be sorted out at the earliest.
