Forty-six Lok Sabha members and 22 Rajya Sabha members from four states are expected to attend an East Central Railway (ECR) meeting to exclusively discuss improving public amenities.

ECR general manager A.K.Mittal will convene the meeting that paliamentarians from Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will attend. This is the first time such an event will be held in Patna.

Sources said the Prime Minister's Office had instructed that this meeting be called and specified that only public amenities be discussed.

Patliputra MP Ram Kripal Yadav said: "Better passenger facilities at the new Patliputra Junction is one of my priorities as it falls within my constituency. Several amenities like providing shades, lights and proper parking facilities are to be completed."
