Patna, Sept. 23: The sleuths of the vigilance investigation bureau carried out simultaneous raids on the office and residential premises of an assistant engineer posted in Nawada district on Saturday.

Acting on a resident's complaint, separate teams of the vigilance bureau searched the office and residential premises of Shailesh Prasad Singh in Nawada, Patna and Delhi. Singh is posted with the Nawada Zila Parishad.

Details of the operation were awaited as the searches continued till the time of filing of report. Authoritative sources said the team was searching a multi-storied building belonging to the engineer in Nawada town.

Earlier, a disproportionate assets case was lodged against the engineer with the vigilance police station in Patna. Subsequently, a team led by assistant superintendent of police Mohammad Kasim searched his Nawada house and his office.
