Raxaul, Sept. 14: Tirhut divisional commissioner S.M. Raju last evening assured farmers of early compensation against their land acquired for the construction of an integrated checkpost at Pantoka village.

Raju had gone to Pantoka village for inspecting the checkpost with East Champaran district magistrate Abhijit Sinha, Raxaul sub-divisional magistrate Jitendra Sah and other officials. Raju also met officials of the construction company and agreed to recommend a grace period of four months to the government for the completion of the project.
