Patna: District magistrate Kumar Ravi on Wednesday directed officials concerned to speed up the process of building Panchayat Sarkar Bhavans in 19 panchayats of Patna district's 11 circles.

Directions have been issued to the respective deputy commissioner of land reforms and circle officers to identify land for constructing the buildings and to send proposals to this effect, Ravi said.

"The officials concerned have been directed to send proposals afresh after correction of those found to be incorrect earlier," the district a said.

World Bank has, in principle, agreed to provide loan for construction of the Panchayat Sarkar Bhavans.

These buildings will house the offices of various panchayat representatives and will function as the secretariat of the panchayats.

The blocks where the buildings are to be built are Paliganj, Masaurhi, Punpun, Danapur, Naubatpur, Maner, Dulhin Bazaar, Bikram, Dhanarua, Phulwarisharif and Sampatchak.
