The Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd is holding conferences to create awareness among contractors and private players about the upcoming power projects in the state.

The aim is to invite investors for upcoming power projects and complete them on time.

The power company held conferences in New Delhi on Monday, Hyderabad on Tuesday and Mumbai on Wednesday. The purpose of organising such conferences in large cities is to showcase upcoming opportunities in Bihar’s rapidly evolving power transmission and distribution sector, said H.R. Pandey, the company’s deputy general manager (public relations). He said the conference witnessed a good number of participation from developers, contractors and power sector service providers.

The events focused on upcoming opportunities for private and independent organisations in the state’s power transmission and distribution sector. It stressed on creating awareness among private sector organisations about the changing business environment of the state.

The power company was represented by energy department secretary and power holding company chairman and managing director Sandeep Poundrik, Bihar State Power Transmission Company Ltd managing director Sanjay K. Singh, South Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd managing director Palka Sahni and the chief engineer SKP Singh, chief engineer (transmission) Y.K. Thakur and chief engineer (rural electrification) North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd NKP Sinha.

Sub-station visit

Bihar State Power Transmission Company Ltd managing director Sanjay Kumar Singh on Thursday visited 220/132/33 KV Sampatchak grid sub-station in Patna capital and directed Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd officials to complete all work positively within next 10 days.
