Patna, Nov. 16: Those of you who wish for fairytale weddings no more need to head out to the metros for inspiration. Old patterns and tastes have given way to theme weddings.
You are no longer required to plan your wedding like it was done in your parents’ time. Now, you can have your dream wedding, minus all the planning. Wonder how? Look up Kosha Fantasy, an event management company, operating in the state capital to relieve you of wedding planning woes.
Shouvik Narain, Umesh Kumar Sharma and Sunil Kumar, the co-partners of the company, come prepared to lend help to a wedding that complements your taste. The trio understand that planning weddings take time, something that which is not lying around for would-be brides and grooms and their families. Now, less time on hand and financial stability help Shouvik, Umesh and Sunil put up a wedding worth your money.
“Now, people have become choosy as things of their liking are easily accessible, allowing them to give their wedding that extra special touch. That is where our role comes in,” said Shouvik who is in his late twenties.
Shouvik, who has been associated with event management and has stayed in Delhi and Mumbai, said: “I have stayed away from Patna all my life. But now I am back and we want to make fairytale weddings a reality for the residents of the state capital.”
He is happy with the response. “First, it wasn’t easy to get clients. But we strongly believe that the taste of the residents is changing. We are quite hopeful to be flooded with clients soon,” he added.
Shouvik is a Delhi University graduate and has stayed in Mumbai for sometime, Umesh and Sunil are students of College of Arts and Crafts, Patna, and have worked as set designers for several Hindi tele-serials and films.
Since getting their first assignment in November last year, the trio have worked on two weddings. Taking on the burden of planning the decorations for the weddings, they left their clients to enjoy the ceremonies.
They also work on the functions that are integral to a marriage. The trio would not only plan tilak and mehndi functions, but also organise parties for your guests and dance troupes. Kosha Fantasy also arranges shopping trips for the bride and groom.
For one of their clients from London, Kosha Fantasy was able to showcase the state’s culture to the groom’s party, who happened to be Punjabi. With their theme based on Madhubani, the three incorporated Madhubani paintings to the decoration of the wedding venue and stage.
Dr R.R. Das, the father of the bride, said: “I live in London but I wanted my daughter to get married in Bihar, my native place. I wanted to have such a ceremony which our guests would remember all their life. So I consulted Kosha Fantasy and found their idea excellent. My entire family was very happy and we were able to let the groom and his family know about our culture. I was very happy to know that Patna had something like this to offer.”
If you worry that appointing Kosha Fantasy to help you out will burn a hole in your pocket, don’t. Give them 20 days to plan your D-Day and you will get your wishes fulfilled at almost the same cost you will get it done. However, if you wish for an elaborate wedding, you would have to contact them two months in advance.
“A lavish wedding can be planned for around Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh where we take all the burden. We believe in taking away the burden to turn a wedding ceremony a chilled-out function for our clients,” said Shouvik.
