Patna Collegiate School Alumni Association on Wednesday celebrated its 181st foundation day. The president of the alumni association, A. Kumar Lal, announced that the next alumni meet would be organised on December 17 and 18. "Alumni working abroad have also agreed to attend the meet," Lal added.

Foundation day

Patna Collegiate School Alumni Association on Wednesday celebrated its 181st foundation day. The president of the alumni association, A. Kumar Lal, announced that the next alumni meet would be organised on December 17 and 18. "Alumni working abroad have also agreed to attend the meet," Lal added.

Ashok Choudhary said in his address that by the end of 2016, the education department will recruit around 32000 teachers in different government schools across the state.

"The school has an impressive alumni which has made Bihar proud in the past decades. We need to bring glory back to Patna's oldest school," added Choudhary.

Prize distribution

Youth Mobilization for National Advancement, a non-government organisation, on Wednesday distributed prizes to winners of an essay competition that it had organised and in which more than 1000 students from various schools participated.

The essay topic was "effect and impact of child marriage". Harshita Kumari of Rajkiye Balika Ucch Vidyalaya placed first, while Anushka Gupta and Vaibhav Shanker of Baldwin Academy placed second and third respectively.
