Members of Jan Abhiyan, a non-government organisation, on Monday marched against alleged police firing on citizens in Kashmir.

The members were arrested. Jan Abhiyan coordinator Nand Kishore Singh said: "The Army are killing innocent people in the name of curbing terrorism."

Scholarship

Chandigarh University held a news meet on Monday to announce the Super Achiever Scholarship Scheme for meritorious students from Bihar.

Regional manager of the varsity Rahul Sinha said: "Any student scoring above 80 per cent in Intermediate exam or in graduation can apply for cent per cent academic scholarship in Chandigarh University."
