Seminar on fascism
Several intellectuals met at a seminar on, India against fascism, on Wednesday at Rabindra Bhavan.
Speakers asserted that the country was coming under the grip of despotism and needed to be freed from it.
JNU professor Subodh Malakar, who is also JNU Students' Union president Kanhaiya Kumar's PhD supervisor, presented lines from Hitler's speeches and showed how similar lines were being used by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Fascism in India includes three aspects - caste system, the theory of karma and neo-liberalism," he said. "It is victimising Dalits, women, Muslims and labourers."
Scholarships for state kids
Aryans Group of Colleges-Chandigarh on Wednesday announced 100 scholarships for students in Bihar at a news meet.
More than 80 students attended the event.
