The two-day Bihar Growth Conference concluded on Sunday with a session on agriculture chaired by state election officer A.K. Chauhan. Avinash Kishore of International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) presented the findings of his study "Promoting balanced use of Chemical Fertilisers" on the occasion. Drawing insights from a field experiment, he stated that farmers don't usually respond to soil health cards, and that their actions are largely driven by their traditional beliefs.

The Bihar branch of Association of Physicians of India on Sunday felicitated its national president Rajesh Upadhyay at a programme organised at a city hotel. Speaking on the occasion, Upadhyay said: "Fatty liver has become one of the common health problems. Fatty liver may not affect health but it can lead to inflammation of liver, which can damage it. Maintaining a healthy diet along with regular exercises will help patients who suffer from fatty liver. Alcohol is strictly prohibited."

Lions Club meet

Lions Club of Patna Femina organised its 21st installation ceremony-cum-charter night on Sunday.
