Felicitation ceremony

St Karen's High School felicitated its Class X and XII students for their outstanding performance in academics and sports on Friday. The director of the school, D.P. Galstaun, gave away mementos and certificates to students and lauded them for their performances. Among the toppers who were felicitated were Abhishek Kumar who scored 95 per cent, Ayush Kumar who scored 94.6 per cent and Avinash who scored 94 per cent. Kajal Kumari and Sumit Kumar, students of Class X, and Riya Sakshi and Nikhil Kumar Singh, students of Class XII, were felicitated for their outstanding performance in sports.

Bihar Lok Adhikar Manch and CRY (Child Rights and You) organised a seminar on "Education and Challenges on Child Marriage" on Friday at BIA on Friday.

Saradindu Bandyopadhyay, CRY in-charge of Bihar, stressed that the existing legal framework alone cannot alone eradicate the evil until the mindsets of people in society changes. Draft of Bihar State Policy for Empowerment of Person with Disabilities" on Friday. Social welfare minister Lesie Singh inaugurated the event. The program emphasised on promotion and protection of rights for people with disabilities by enabling policies and programmes for them.
