Education fair

College2Campus launched an education fair at the planetarium on Wednesday. As many as 23 colleges and universities from across the country have set up stalls at the fair, which would end on Thursday.

Most of the institutions attending the education fair are engineering and management colleges in the country. Among the colleges are Yagyavalkya Institute of Technology (Jaipur), College of Engineering Roorkee, Doon Business School (Dehradun) and Sri Sri University (Cuttack, Odisha).

"Students should attend such education fairs to get a clear idea of the career path they want to pursue. To ensure effective job search, along with studies, students need the help of career fairs and career counsellors. They need to make use of the resources available to them. Admissions into US and European colleges are conducted on the basis of information students acquire through networking. So, it is important for students in India, too, to find good alternatives by networking," said Purnima Shekhar, a geography faculty member in AN College.
