Season's greetings
Samparpan, a non-government organisation, conducted a sale of greeting cards made by differently abled children on Thursday.
More than 36 children made Christmas and New Year greeting cards.
The convener of the institute, Ajay Yadav, and secretary Shivaji Kumar inaugurated the programme. Ajay said: "Such initiatives will not only encourage them, but also send a good message to society."
Sports
Krishna Niketan celebrated its annual sports meet on Thursday.
The event started with Lavanya, a national champion in athletics, lighting the torch. School founder Y.K. Sudarshan stressed the importance of sports in everyone's life and urged students to respect the spirit of the games.
The students put up a good show with a number of events, such as sprint, drill and aerobics enthralling the audience.
Annual function
Usha Martin World School celebrated its annual function on Thursday on the theme -" purn ekta".
The CBSE regional officer of Bihar and Jharkhand, R.R. Meena, was the chief guest at the event. Tiny tots sang and danced in a number of events.
