Workshop on statistics

Directorate of economics and statistics (DES), Bihar, organised a workshop on "better statistics, better life" on Tuesday to mark the World Statistics Day.

The director of DES, JKP Singh, said the government and the civil society should work in tandem to provide correct inputs so that authentic data could be generated regarding different aspects of the economy.

The joint director of DES, Pramod Kumar Verma, spoke on the different welfare schemes implemented by the state government and focussed on how data helped the government in policy formulation.
