Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has ordered RJD leaders to be aggressive in the budget session of the state legislature that began on Monday and to point out the failures of the state government, while chief minister Nitish Kumar told his legislators to focus on the work the government has done.
The budget session will end on April 4.
Tejashwi issued the battle cry during the RJD legislature party meet at his 5 Desh Ratna Marg bungalow, where all legislators were present.He also asked his party legislators to be united and work hard so that all RJD and Congress candidates win in the upcoming bypolls.
"All the legislators will be aggressive and must protest the anti-poor and anti-Dalit policies of the government during ongoing session. Expose the failures of the government, especially the projects being carried out by the government in your respective constituencies," he said.
He told the leaders to spend as much as time as they can in their constituencies so that they have their ears to the ground on the people's problems.
Tejashwi also declared that the the RJD will form the next government in Bihar. "I am touring the state through the Samvidhan Bachao Nyay Yatra and Ican feel that there is anger among the people against the presentgovernment. The poor, Dalilts, Mahadalilts, minorities, and people from backward castes are very angry with Nitish ji because he has insulted the people's mandate," Tejashwi said.
The JDU also held its legislature party meet at the 5 Polo Road residence of water resources minister Lalan Singh, where chief minister Nitish Kumar was present. Nitish asked his legisltaors to make people awareabout the Public Grievances Redressal Act and the work of government being carried out on the education sector, specially the student credit card scheme.
JDU MLC and spokesperson Neeraj Kumar, who was present at the meeting, said: "Nitish ji has asked all the legislators to focus on the work and not to bother about the vote. Nitishji said that confidence building has taken place among the people after the government's seven resolves, and instructed us to focus on the work."
