Event: Felicitation ceremony of NCC cadets

Special attraction: The cultural events were performed at Raj Bhavan. The personal assistant to the governor, Brajesh Malhotra, distributed prizes among the cadets who returned from New Delhi after taking part in the Republic Day parade and other events. The cultural events showcased the traditions and heritage of the two neighbouring states. Governor D.Y. Patil appreciated the efforts of the NCC cadets and said their sense of discipline was to be admired the most. He added that he was proud of all the cadets.

Duration: Around three-and-a-half hours

Special attraction: Girls displayed their martial arts and karate skills and that too while dancing. The girls were all from Lower KG. The children of Playgroup performed yoga and showcased different asanas for 20 minutes. The students of Upper KG and Class I sent the message of saving water to help save the earth. A skit was performed to portray this aspect. Director Mayuri Jha said these events should be organised from time to time as it helps kids in their physical and mental growth. She added that team spirit is inculcated through these performances.
