Patna, Sept. 11: Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, the RJD MP from Madhepura, wants his fee diktat for doctors to be followed across the state.
Pappu had alleged that doctors have been charging “unnecessary fees” from patients for consultation and pathological investigations.
Pappu said today: “The doctors are considered God. They get so much of respect but in return they are not supposed to exploit the people in the name of consultation fees. The doctors should reduce their fees and they should charge uniform and reasonable rate. I have already announced this for the practitioners in the Kosi region and now I will urge chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi to implement this across the state.”
“People of the state are in trouble and I would request Nitish Kumarji and Lalu Prasadji to convince the chief minister to implement this rule across the state,” said Pappu.
He also suggested that if the doctors did not reduce their fees he would be left with no option other than staging dharna and protest march against them.
Pappu, who has written a book, Drohkal ka Pathik, expressed his disappointment over the apathy at government schoolteachers. He said: “Best teachers should be recruited in the government schools for better quality of education and their fees should be not less than between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000. I would also suggest that government officials and people representatives should send their children to the government schools.”
Asked about the RJD and Congress becoming the part of the Jitan Ram Manjhi’s cabinet, Pappu sidelined the question and said he was a member of Parliament did not have any right to speak on it.
