Patna: The proposal to amend Patna Municipal (Solid Waste Disposal Management) Regulation, 2017, was approved in the general board meeting of Patna Municipal Corporation at the civic body's Bankipore circle office on Monday.
The decision to hire a road-sweeping machine to clean the streets was approved in the meeting. "To get better ranking for Patna in the Union government's Swachh Sarvekshan-2018 scheduled to start from January 4, the PMC has decided to get the roads cleaned with the help of a hired state-of-the-art road sweeping machine. The sarvekshan in which 4,041 cities will participate, will be organised from January 4 to February 28," said mayor Sita Sahu after the meeting.
Patna stood at 262 out of 434 cities in the Swachh Sarvekshan-2017.
