Court prod to leader

Patna: A high court bench of Justice Samarendra Pratap Singh has asked legislative council chairman JD(U)’s Sanjay Kumar Singh, also the working secretary, to file their counter affidavits within six weeks on a petition filed by ex-JD(U) MLC Prem Kumar Mani.ani filed a petition through his counsel in the court challenging Bihar Legislative Council chairman’s decision to disqualify him from the membership of the council on September 12.

Power raid

Patna: A team of Special Task Force of Bihar State Electricity Board raided India Hotel in Muzaffarpur and detected an electricity theft of Rs 17.59 lakh.

Body found

Muzaffarpur: Police have recovered the body of Fighter Shukla, a criminal, from Kadam Chowk under Saraiya police station on Thursday night.

Tiger terror

Patna: A tiger strayed into Dariyapur in Saran district on Friday evening. Senior forest officials are camping in the area. A forest official, Ganesh Kumar, is said to have been attacked by the tiger.
