Special train

Patna: East Central Railway will run a summer special Delhi-Darbhanga-Delhi (04022/04021) train twice in a week from April 2 to June 26. uzaffarpur: The District Police caught hold of five extortionists daring to ask extortion money from the Assistant General Manager of Kanti Thermal Power Plant, N. N. Rai here on Tuesday. The police seized three pistols, seven cartridges and extortion letter from their possessions. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muzaffarpur, Vivek Kumar said that a criminal identified as Mohammad Rashid at present languishing into Khudi Ram Bose Central Jail had masterminded the plot to extort money from the AGM. The Police arrested Mohammad Phool, Ram Pukar Sahni, Roshan Kumar, Munna Kumarnd Mohammad Sonu in this connection and sent them to Jail. The SSP said that the extortionists had demanded Rs. Five lakh from the AGM. They had also warned the AGM of dire consequences if failing to cough up extortion money, said the Police. (Khwaja)
