B>n Patna: A technical snag caused a power cut for around six to seven hours in different parts of west Patna from 2.30pm on Wednesday.SEB spokeperson H.R. Pandey said a snag at Khagaul grid had caused the powercut.

Salary fund

Removal

B>n Patna: National Institute of Technology administration on Wednesday removed electrical department teacher Ramesh Kumar from the post of the chairman of hostel management committee. Ramesh had caught Gyanendra Kumar, a second-year civil engineering student, allegedly ragging a first-year student last Thursday.

Arrests

B>n Patna: Police nabbed one Hriday Rai, wanted in 18 cases, from Mokama on Wednesday. Another middle-aged man, suspected to be a chain snatcher, was arrested from the Kotwali area. Three criminals allegedly planning to rob a petrol pump were arrested during a raid at Shivganj.

Murders

B>n Patna: Two farmers — Daroga Yadav and nephew Tega Yadav — were killed by armed criminals at Akauna village in Aurangabad district late on Tuesday night.
