Dec. 4 bank strike

Patna, Nov. 29: Bihar Provincial Bank Employees’ Association organising secretary Sanjay Tiwari today said the bank employees and officers would go on strike on December 4 to press for a salary hike.he banks’ employees had resorted to a daylong nationwide strike on November 12. The call was given by United Forum of Bank Unions, an umbrella organisation of nine bank unions. The employees are pressing for 25 per cent hike, which they have scaled down to 23 per cent, which is pending since November 1, 2012.

 

Sushil plea

Patna: Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Saturday demanded from the state government to make two reports public — one pertaining to the washing of temple at Thari village in Andhrathari block of Madhubani district where chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had visited and the other was the drug scam.

 

NCP leader

Patna: Kumar Gyanendra was appointed state president of Nationalist Youth Congress on Saturday, which is a youth wing of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

 

Camp

Patna: A two-day free health check-up camp was organised by Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) in association with Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon, during which around 650 people were examined free of cost, chamber president P.K. Agrawal said.
