• Patna: The high court on Monday directed the government to reply within two weeks on the status of encroachment in different government hospitals in Bihar. Vikash Chandra, better known as Guddu Baba, had alleged that Bihar's health centres were still encroached upon.

• Bhagalpur: Ashwini Kumar Choubey, the Union minister of state for health & family welfare, on Monday stressed upon settlement of land by the state government so that the proposed Vikramshila central varsity could be established soon.

• Patna: Akshay Kumar, allegedly involved in the murder of Bihta-based cinema owner Nirbhay Singh on Friday, was arrested on Monday.
