A student in action at the Master Akshay Memorial Inter School Swimming Competition organised by St Michael's High School on its campus on Friday. Students participated in the various categories in the competition, including freestyle, backstroke, underwater and relay.

Students from GD Goenka Public School, St Xavier's High School, Gyan Niketan, Notre Dame Academy, St Dominic Savio's High School and the host school participated in the competition. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) commandant Abhishek Shankar was the chief guest at the event. Delhi Public School students bagged the title of overall champion in the male and female category while in the sub-junior category (boys), Gyan Gunjan of Delhi Public School emerged the winner.

In the girls' category, Avni Garg of Don Bosco won. Ankur Raj from Delhi Public School won in the junior category for boys while Pakhi from Delhi Public School won in the junior category for girls. Text by Shuchismita Chakraborty, picture by Ashok Sinha
