Patna, Aug. 26: The state government today transferred Nawada district magistrate Adesh Titarmare and replaced him with Lalan Ji close on the heels of a communal flare-up in Nawada district. The new incumbent was earlier posted as revenue officer in the Bihar State Housing Board.
Titarmare has been posted as chief executive officer of Jeevika project. His transfer was part of a major administrative shuffle effected on Monday which witnessed the transfer of around 12 district magistrates. Madhepura district magistrate Upendra Kumar has been transferred to the Bihar Staff Selection Commission, where he would work as officer on special duty. He would be replaced with Gopal Meena, who was earlier holding the post of the Siwan district magistrate.
Devesh Sehra would be the new district magistrate of Siwan. He was earlier holding the post of inspector-general (registration). Sheohar district magistrate Anil Kumar has been transferred to labour department in the capacity of special secretary and he would be replaced with Kumar Vinod Narayan Singh earlier posted as director in the panchayati raj department.
Arwal district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Singh has been transferred to the labour department as director (employment and training) and he would be replaced by Kunwar Jang Bahadur.
East Champaran district magistrate Vinay Kumar has been sent to science and technology department as director and he would be replaced with Sridhar Chiruvelu, who was earlier district magistrate of West Champaran.
Abhay Kumar Singh, who was holding the post of Aurangabad district magistrate would be the new district magistrate of West Champaran. Abhijit Sinha, Saran district magistrate, who was holding the post at the time of the Gandaman tragedy leading to death of 23 schoolchildren has been made the new district magistrate of Aurangabad.
Bandana Preyashi would replace in Saran. Preyashi was holding the post of Integrated Child Development Services director.
Khagaria too would have a new district magistrate as the present incumbent S. Parvez Alam has been transferred to the post excise commissioner. Alam would be replaced with Sanjay Singh, who was earlier holding the post of Sheikhpura district magistrate. Sheikhpura, in turn, would have Pranav Kumar as its new district magistrate.
Prakash Kumar, earlier posted with Staff Selection Commission, has been made new district magistrate of Katihar. He would replace Virendra Prasad Yadav, who has been transferred to the general administration department.
Banka district magistrate Dipak Anand has been made director of the panchayati raj department and he would be replaced with B. Kartikey.
The government also effected few other transfers including posting of H.R. Sriniwas, who was waiting for posting and has now been made special secretary in the education department.
