Students of Patna Women’s College perform in a carol singing competition at the institution on Monday. The girls took the musical route to explain the meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus and his crucifixion. Taranhar, Bethlehem ka Tara, O Holy Night, God ye Rest Merry were among the several carols sung. The college’s English department walked away with the top honours in both the Hindi and English carol competitions. A team of hostel boarders and the psychology department came second and third, respectively, in the Hindi category.
