Students got a taste of few skills this week in some sessions focusing on art. If painting, clay work and pottery won their hearts, the young ones were also taken to a water park to chill out. Smita Kumar reports

Duration: Ten days
Special attraction: An initiative by Samajik Evam Sanskritik Sanchetna Manch, Gurukul, students were taught various skills such as bamboo art, flower-making, clay work, watercolour painting and others at the event. The secretary of the manch, Jayant Mishra, said mehndi and soft toy making would also be part of the activities. Apart from students of the school, those from outside also took part in the summer camp.

Tender Hearts School

Duration: Eight days
Special attraction: Students were very excited on learning how to make pots. School director Sangita Bhargava said they had called a professional potter to teach the children. The kids also learnt sponge making. Apart from the hands-on experience of learning a new skill, the young ones were taken to places of activities such as the water park at Sampatchak. A puppet show was also organised.
