Motihari, Nov. 25: Pawan Jaiswal, the Independent MLA from Dhaka Assembly segment in East Champaran, taking inspiration from chief minister Nitish Kumar, released a report card at a function at the Dhaka inspection bungalow last evening.
The report card released by Jaiswal lists his achievements and performance in the first year of his tenure as an MLA with respect to government welfare schemes. Funds were made available through various government departments for the development of this Assembly segment.
Addressing a public gathering on the occasion, Jaiswal said: “Each and every day in the past year of my tenure as the new incumbent from this sensitive and border Assembly segment, I faced a new test and accepted them as fresh challenge.”
He assured the gathering that he would to continue his efforts for fresh development in the area, enjoying full confidence of his electorate. He asked the officials to co-operate with the masses and share their troubles and miseries.
When asked about the justification of a report card by an MLA, Jaiswal told The Telegraph: “I have preferred to do this only because both Nitish Kumar and his transparency have been the source of inspiration in my active political career.”
