Patna: The pontoon bridge parallel to Gandhi Setu will become functional from Monday but with riders, said Patna DM Sanjay Kumar Agarwal after officials of Patna and Vaishali held a meeting on Saturday.

"From 6am to 1pm, traffic will be allowed from Hajipur to Patna and from 1.30pm to 6pm, traffic will be allowed from Patna to Hajipur. There will be no movement of vehicles after 6pm because there is no light over the bridge. As it is winter, there will be fog and it would be dangerous for anyone travelling over the bridge without light," Agarwal said.
