Molest case bail blow

Patna: A lower court in Patna on Thursday rejected the bail application of Krishna Bihari Prasad, the father of Nikhil Priyadarshi, in a sexual harassment case of the daughter of a Dalit former minister. The court also rejected the bail plea of Nikhil's brother.

In the same case, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes has directed the inspector-general (weaker section) Anil Kishore Yadav to take action against the former state Congress vice-president, Brajesh Pandey, who is evading arrest.

Patna: Four women died and another was injured when a huge heap of mud fell on them at Agaha village in Khagaria district on Thursday.

Patna: A woman dancer, Chandani Kumari, was among two persons injured when some revellers fired during a cultural programme at Ghorwaksh village in Rohtas district on Wednesday night.

The victims were hospitalised.
