Lalu Prasad's eldest daughter Misa Bharti, who unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha poll last year, has decided to play the back-office role for the RJD this time.

Misa, who has an MBBS degree, is more into making strategies for her party and father this Assembly election.

She is helping her father and two brothers in deciding the issues which they should raise during the campaigns. Her helping nature was visible during the Swabhiman Rally itself when she handed over a piece of paper to the RJD chief and briefed him about issues when Lalu was about to address the gathering.

Sitting at 10 Circular Road, Misa is busy preparing the list of dos and don'ts for her brothers - Tej Pratap and Tejaswi - who are set to contest Assembly polls from Mahua and Raghopur, respectively.

"I already have experience of contesting an election and my two younger brothers are now going to contest polls this year so it was my duty to guide them. Every day, I sit with them and discuss how to go ahead," Misa said.

Misa had lost the Lok Sabha poll from Patliputra against BJP candidate Ram Kripal Yadav, who was once close to Lalu. After being denied a ticket from the RJD, Ram Kripal had left the party and contested on a BJP ticket.

Misa, 40, topped her MBBS degree exam with a distinction in gynaecology from Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH). Got married to computer engineer Shailesh Kumar in 1999, she is mother of two daughters Durga Bharti (12) and Gauri Bharti (6).

According to Misa, she wants her brothers to give their best in convincing the voters and keep all the factors in mind, which could help them in victory.

Asked about the kind of tips she is giving to her father and two brothers, Misa said: "As you know, my father is a seasoned politician and he understands politics better than me. However, he discusses issues and takes my suggestion on certain things like youth and women. I help him in making things easier and provide him data and other materials related to elections. But yes, I give tips to my two brothers."

She added: "I provide them tips on booth management. I ask them to take all sections of people together and not to neglect the ground-level workers. I suggested that they should not focus on any particular caste. I have also asked them to focus on youths, which constitute around 3 crore of total population."

Misa would also campaign during the election once the formal announcement of the candidates is made by the party. She also stressed that she would not restrict herself to campaign only for the RJD and her two brothers but also for other candidates of the grand alliance.

Lalu appreciated the initiative of Misa and said: "She is very helpful not only to me but to the party as well. I discuss certain issues with her on which she has good control."
