Bihar Health Services Association members have deferred the indefinite strike, scheduled to commence from August 9, till September 23 .

The BHSA members took the decision at a meeting on Sunday at IMA Hall in the presence of the members of Contract Doctors’ Association, Ayush Doctors’ Association and Dental Doctors’ Association.

Members of the other three associations had also decided to join the August 9 strike to press for their demands.

Sources said the decision was taken after the JD(U) medical cell president L.B. Singh and vice-president Sunil Kumar Singh met the BHSA members on Sunday and assured them that their demands would be fulfilled.
