Patna, July 29: Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif hit the road on a bike to promote Zin-dagi Na Milegi Dobara, Akshay Kumar performed live stunts to promote Tees Mar Khan and Haider Kazmi rode on an elephant to Veena theatre to promote his latest Bhojpuri film Rangbaz.

The last film might not be as big budget as the first two, but its promotion plan was unique nevertheless.

As soon as the Bhojpuri ac-tor reached the theatre on the elephant, carrying along the print of the film, a huge crowd gathered in front of the cinema to watch the “live show”.

Asked the reason behind the unique publicity act, Kazmi said: “Promotion of a film is very important as it plays a very significant role in drawing the audience. The trend of film promotion does not exist in the Bhojpuri cinema. I told my distributors that the film surely needed publicity like Bollywood cinema.”

On bringing an elephant to the theatre, the actor said: “This is probably the first time that print of a Bhojpuri film was carried on an elephant, the last time it happened was during the release of the Mughal-e-Azam in 1960. The print of the film was carried on an elephant to Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai.”

The film is based on Naxalite movement in Bihar with the special reference to Jehanabad district as being the most-affected zone.
