Chhapra, Feb. 22: One person was electrocuted and three others sustained serious injuries when a 11KV wire fell on a truck near Patti bridge under Dariapur police station today.

The deceased has been identified as Awadhesh Rai of Hajipur.

Sources said the wire fell on the truck carrying stone chips around 10.30am.

Agitated villagers blocked the road for around three hours.

Vasudeo Rai, the in-charge of Dariapur police station, persuaded the villagers to lift the roadblock after assuring them of taking appropriate measures.
