Patna, May 11: More than 2,300 students appeared for the rescheduled All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) today. The examination was conducted at three centres — Army School Danapur Cantonment, Delhi Public School, Patna and DAV BSEB.

One Sudhir Kumar was arrested for faking the name of Bipin Kumar Yadav at DAV BSEB centre. A total of 365 students were slated to appear for the examination at the centre.

For the majority of students, the paper was easy but a few felt that the examination held on May 1 was easier. Many students said the section on physics was difficult.

On May 1, the examination was delayed by around two-and-a-half hours as word had spread about a probable paper leak. Students at the above three centres could not appear because of some reasons. The examination was rescheduled and it was held today.

Mohammad Khalid, who had accompanied his brother, said: “I had come with my brother on May 1, too, all the way from Hajipur and he had to appear for Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) as well. He could only appear for AFMC at 2pm on the same day. We had to return to Hajipur as it was useless sitting near the centre under the sun for around 5 hours to take the AIEEE.”

Shruti’s mother Deepa Kumari had come from Hajipur to drop her daughter at the examination centre. Kumari said: “We had been waiting for AIEEE for three years and my daughter was very tensed since she could not appear for the examination the other day. If the examination would not have been held today, we would have gone for private colleges.” Anjani Kumari, another candidate, too, was bit relaxed since she could not take the exam on May 1 since she was in Delhi. Anjani said: “For me, it was a boon that the examination was rescheduled.”

Arpana Kumari felt that the physics paper was tough. Arpana, too, had to take the pain of coming twice to the examination centre.

Amir, a candidate said: “The paper was a bit tricky. My friends had told me that the paper on May 1 was simpler.”
