Patna, Oct. 22: Police today said the 13-year-old boy who went missing on Thursday may be in Ranchi.
Shivam Pratap, a Class VIII student of Don Bosco School, never returned to his Hanuman Nagar home after leaving for school on Thursday morning.
Shivam’s family lodged a missing report at Patrakar Nagar police station the same evening.
“This boy is a cricket fan. In fact, he wants to be a cricketer. In the school bus, he had shown a letter to his classmates saying he would go to Ranchi to get cricket training,” Patna city central superintendent of police Shivdeep Lande.
The police added that the family of the boy is being questioned for further details.
“The police have been talking to his friends. We are trying to confirm whether he has gone to Ranchi or not. Shivam’s father had given him Rs 2,700 the same day for his tuition fee. He might have used the money for travelling,” Lande added.
The police added that Ranchi police would be contacted and a team from Patna will be sent there.
